Verina Geraldine Oldham, 86, of Jefferson passed softly from the bonds of the Earth to her Heavenly home on December 3, 2020. She will always be remembered as a loving and gracious lady. Geraldine was born June 10, 1934 in Gilmer to Walter Ray Jones and Olive Lucille Shephard Jones. She is a member of the Lanier Baptist Church. Mrs. Geraldine loved to make things with her hands, from quilts to needle point, she was always making something that she could show her love for others through. She was one that never met a stranger and would always end her conversation by saying, “Jesus Loves You”!
She is survived by her daughters: Elizabeth Walker, Nelda Dunn, Tana Jones, Debbie Lemley and her husband Bennie; sons: Charles “Bubba” Jones and his wife Stacey, Randy Oldham; sisters: Ginger Andrews, Nellie Jane Larson, and Peggy Jones; grandchildren: Teri White and her husband Mike, Chad Walker, Malisa Styles and her husband Rick, Michael Dunn and his wife Rachel, Jason Jones, Kelly Juneau and her husband Cody, Fred H. Dunn, John DeBorde and his wife Nancy, Robert Dunn, Steven, Carrie, Sandra, Bennie Jr., Michael, Randell, Daniel; as well as a number of great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. Geraldine is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Louie Oldham, daughter, Linda Brown, brothers: Danny Ray Jones, David Jones, Doug Jones, Walter Ray Jones, Jr.; sisters: Sheila Gaston, Patsy Weathers; sons-in-law: Van Walker and Fred Dunn.
A time of visitation with her family will be from 11 to 12 noon on Saturday, December 5, 2020 at the Sullivan Funeral Home with a service to celebrate her life starting at noon in the Colonial Chapel of Sullivan Funeral Home with the Rev. Craig Evers officiating. Interment will follow at Eagle Creek Cemetery in Harleton.
