Minister Sylvester “Cecil” Pervis, 59, was granted his angel wings on December 5, 2020 in Marshall, TX. Cecil was born to the union of Elva Pervis Haynes and the Late Lee Hardy Pervis, Sr. on September 2, 1961.
Cecil’s life would seem too short to many, but those who were touched by him understood that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time which one lives. His gentle spirit, bright smile and kind and giving heart made all that came around him feel welcomed. He has walked through the meadows of life and is enjoying Christ’s presence now.
He was an active member of A House of Refuge Healing & Deliverance Ministries in Marshall, TX. Mourning his departure and cherishing his memory are his wife, Theresa Pervis, step-sons Donald and Brandon, grandsons Jordan and Donillo, mother Elva Pervis Haynes, brothers Lee Hardy Pervis, Jr. (Michelle) and Dwight W. Pervis, Sr. (Patricia), sisters Debra Pervis Foster (James) and Lolita Pervis Tennon (Ronnie), aunts Dorothy Bailey, Victoria Pervis and Lucille Pervis, nephews Todd Starks, James Lee Foster, Master Lee Hardy Pervis, III, Dwight W. Pervis, Jr., Lee Joseph Pervis, sisters-in-law Stephanie Williams, Bridgett Pierre-Ned (Mark), and Carla Johnson, nieces Tricina Pervis and Brittiney Tennon and A House of Refuge Healing & Deliverance Ministries: Apostle Lois Lynch, Pastor Juana Garner, Minister Bridgette Noah, Bro. Wayne Vallie, Sis. Toni Vallie, Sis. Anjetta King and Sis. Kaylynn Struggs and a host of great nieces, great nephews, cousins, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father Lee Hardy Pervis, Sr., brothers Mason W. Pervis and Vincent E. Pervis.
Funeral services to celebrate the life of Minister Sylvester “Cecil” Pervis will be on Saturday, January 9, 2021 at 2 p.m. at the Chapel of Sullivan Funeral Home, 100 East Travis Street, Marshall, TX.
