Ollie “Pete” Perkins, 85, of Harleton, TX passed away April 23, 2020 at her residence in Harleton. She was born November 11, 1934 in Ft. Worth to Noel Easley and Myrtle Mae Enlow Easley. She and her husband, Oscar owned the Posey Pot Nursery on Gilmer Road in Longview, and after closing it down, she went to school and earned her LVN degree and went into nursing for several years working at several nursing homes in the area, but the job that she really enjoyed the most was being a special education teachers aide at Harleton ISD.
Mrs. Pete is survived by her husband, Oscar of Harleton; daughter: Robin Perkins; son: Benny Perkins; grandchildren: Christopher Perkins, Nicole Griffith and her husband Justin, and Markayla White; great grandchildren: Reagan Griffith, Tyler Perkins, Isaac Perkins, and Jacob Perkins; sisters: Virginia Pope of Kingwood and Sharon Brown of Gilmer; brother: Dennis Easley and his wife Beverly of Longview; as well as a number of nieces, nephews and extended family members and friends.
Private family services will be held in her honor.
