In the early morning hours of Monday, December 10, 2018, Mollie Lancaster Foley 81, went home to be with her Lord and Savior. Visitation will be Friday, December 14, 2018 from 6-8 pm at Sullivan Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at Fairview Baptist Church in Marshall. Officiating will be Rev. Jim Houston. Interment will follow at Colonial Gardens Cemetery .
Mollie Ann was born in Panola County on August 4, 1937 to James Henry and Mamie Virginia (Westfield) Lancaster. In September 1964, she married Charles Kennith Whatley. After 30 years of life together, including long motorcycle trips with friends Jack and Diane Hester, they were separated by his death in 1995. In January 1998, she married Bobby "Bud" Foley, who passed away in 2011. After graduating from Marshall High School, she worked in several occupations and lived in Marshall for most of her life. She was a longtime member of the Business and Professional Women Association, and a devoted member of Fairview Baptist Church, serving as the pianist and organist for many years.
Mollie is survived by her brother, Ben Lancaster of Eastland; a brother-in-law, Jerry (Pat) Foley; sister- in- law, Sybil Phelps, all of Marshall; and a cousin, Marvin Davenport of Panola County. She also leaves behind an abundance of nieces and nephews who adored their cherished aunt. Preceding her in death were her parents; her two husbands; four brothers and their wives, Edward and Jeanine, Huey and Billie, Clifton and Sue; and a brother, Robert. She was also preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Ethelyn; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Jo and Loy Ray; and a beloved nephew, Mansel. She leaves behind many dear friends she has made in her life time.
