Margaret Reeves Lea

April 20, 1941 ~ May 29, 2022 (age 81)


Margaret passed away peacefully on May 29, 2022 surrounded by her family, after a brief illness.

Margaret was born April 20, 1941 in Marshall, Texas to Elbert Vuren and Etta Rae Reeves. She grew up in Marshall and attended Marshall High School. She then moved to Dallas, Texas, and in 1978 moved to San Antonio, Texas where she was currently living. She joined San Antonio First Church of the Nazarene in 1980 and continued attending until her passing. Margaret was very involved in the church, directing the Christmas plays every year, she loved singing special music, she played the piano for the church, she was very involved in her senior group and especially loved game days and gospel sings. She also loved her Bible study group and Christian Ladies luncheons. Margaret was a devout Christian and loved the Lord with all of her heart.

Margaret is survived by her brother Larry Reeves, her daughter Jami Weinman, husband James and her grandsons Colton & Cody Weinman, her daughter Karen Guillaudeu, husband Brad and their Australian Labradoodle Maggie. She is preceded in death by her parents, her brother Elbert Wayne Reeves, her husband Kenneth Lea and her poodle Kassie Kay.

She will be truly missed by all.

A graveside service is scheduled for Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at Colonial Gardens Cemetery,
Chapel by the Lake, 5500 Elysian Fields Rd, Marshall, Texas 75672 and a Celebration of Life Saturday, June 4, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at San Antonio First Church of the Nazarene, 10715 West Ave, San Antonio, Texas 78213.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the T. Boone Pickens Hospice and Palliative Care Center Endowment Fund. The endowment fund will help ensure that the care and services provided at the center are available for years to come.
