Services for Mrs. Lisa Casey Perry will be held privately on Friday.

Lisa Casey Perry was born August 9, 1958 in Marshall, TX. To Mr. Jan Taylor Casey and Mrs. Carolyn Posey. She passed from this life October 29, 2021 at her home in Marshall, TX.

Lisa had a passion for the arts and was a prolific writer of poetry and prose. She was a published storyteller and wrote on food, family, and southern life. Lisa achieved her lifelong goal of earning a degree in education recently, and she was able to teach in her hometown of Marshall, Tx soon after. Lisa was an avid arts and crafts hobbyist, filling her home and the homes of those close to her with many personal, handmade projects. Lisa shared her love of music, literature, art, and the path of continual self-improvement with her family and friends, instilling in those she met an equal appreciation of these pursuits. She was known for her quick wit, kindness and compassion for all, and a smile that would light up any room. Lisa was a dedicated wife, loving daughter and sister, a fiercely loyal friend, and a doting mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She positively influenced the lives of everyone fortunate enough to meet her, and her legacy of love and beauty lives on in us all.

Lisa was preceded in death by her son, Todd Perry, and her father. Left to cherish her memory are her husband David Perry; her children, grandchildren, and great-granddaughter; Casey and Jeremy Thornton and their children Jackson and Elizabeth, Rachel and Douglas Bradley and their children Dade and Ethan, Charles and Teresa Sherrod and their children Monica, Kayla, Aiden, and Jaxton, Natosha Perry and her children, Maile, Charles, and Johnny, her late son, Todd Perry’s children Jordan, Katie, and Emily, Michelle and Tim Higgins and their children Ryan, Caroline, Grace, Kathryn and Luke, her great granddaughter, Mila, her mother, Carolyn Posey Sassi, her sister, Marilyn Kaptain and husband Steve Kaptain, and her nephew Sage Stevens, and a host of relatives and beloved friends. Lisa Casey Perry is dearly loved and will be deeply missed.
