Mrs. Ann Howell Bibb age 90, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at home, surrounded by her family. She was born August 2, 1928 in Marshall, TX to Daisy and Faunt Howell.
Mrs. Bibb was a graduate of Marshall High School. She performed in many plays while in high school and played the piano when she wasn’t acting. After high school she attended the University of North Texas. Ann worked for United Gas Co. of Marshall until she met and married her husband of 69 years, Charles Bibb on a blind date. The couple moved to Laredo, TX where Ann worked for the Chamber of Commerce. After returning to Marshall she helped start the First Special Education program for Marshall I.S.D. She also worked at David Crockett Elementary School for many years as the school secretary. She retired from food service, bookkeeping and as a secretary with the Marshall I.S.D. Ann was a longtime member of Karnack United Methodist Church where she played the organ and piano for many years. Above everything else, she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.
Mrs. Bibb was preceded in death by her husband, parents, granddaughter, Kendall Paige Bibb; and sister, Mary Ellen Wright. She is survived by daughter, Becky Bibb Foltz; two sons, Charles Scott Bibb, III and James F. Bibb; six grandchildren, Scott Foltz and wife Amanda, Emily Shoots and husband Thomas, David Foltz, Tyler Bibb, and Jake and Josh Bibb; and three great grandchildren, Parker, Oliver, and Ivyanne.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 17, 2018 at the Andrews Cemetery in Karnack, TX. Visitation will be at Sullivan Funeral Home on Friday evening from 5:00-7:00 PM.
Serving as pallbearers will be her grandchildren.
