Jessie J. Lowe

Jessie James Lowe passed away to be with his Lord and loving wife Margaret on May 4, 2017. He was born in Virginia and moved to Texas early in his life to bring a better life to his family. J.J. worked for Thiokol for several years. He also worked for Alcoa which he retired from. He was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War and during his tour he was a recipient of two Purple Hearts. He was Dwight D. Eisenhower’s personal cook while in the Army and took great pride in the fact that Eisenhower considered him a part of his family.
Mr. Lowe is survived by his three daughters, Glena Lowe, Judy Asaff and husband Rusty, and Cindy Albright and husband Steve; two grandchildren, Andy Albright and Matt Albright and wife Phoenix; and great-granddaughter, Sophia.
A memorial service will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Monday, May 8, 2017 at Sullivan Funeral Home with Rev. Don Nicholson officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.
