Janice Faye Poplin Keener, 68, of Marshall, TX passed away July 1, 2020 at a local hospital. Ms. Keener was born July 25, 1951 in San Antonio to L.W. and Dorothy Blewett Poplin. She worked as a customer service representative for many years for several companies in the area. She enjoyed crafting but especially loved to color. She was a self-proclaimed “colorist”. She enjoyed spending time with her family and her sweet cat, Smokey, she was her constant companion for 13 years. She loved music, singing, and jigsaw puzzles, her laughter was always wholehearted and contagious.
She is survived by her daughter, Heather Humphries of Marshall; granddaughter, Johnnie Faye Pollard of Marshall; sisters, Linda Stukes (who has since passed on August 13, 2020) and her husband Louis of Yoakum, TX, and Marsha Laney and her husband Don of Round Rock, TX; uncle, Larry Blewett and his wife Yvonne of Harrah, OK; as well as a number of extended family members and friends.
A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 19, 2020 at the Colonial Chapel of Sullivan Funeral Home. A time of visitation with her family will be from 1 to 2 p.m. before the service at the funeral home.
