Geraldine Eldridge

July 13, 1936 ~ January 31, 2019 (age 82)

Mrs. Geraldine “Gerry” F. Eldridge, 82, passed away on Thursday, January 31, 2019, surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Eldridge was born July 13, 1936 in Lake Charles, Louisiana to Harold Faucett, Sr. and Aileen Newton Faucett. Funeral services will be conducted at The Colonial Chapel of Sullivan Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. Officiating will be Dr. Randy Fitzgerald and Rev. Dick Dobbins of Summit United Methodist Church. Visitation will be held at The Colonial Chapel from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. Graveside services will immediately follow at Algoma North.
After moving from Lake Charles to Marshall at a young age, Mrs. Eldridge attended and graduated from Marshall High School in May 1955. She married James Felton Eldridge on March 6, 1969, and together they made their home in Marshall, sharing love with their two children; son, David Denney; and daughter, Geri-Beth Kezerle. Mrs. Eldridge was awarded “Outstanding Woman of the Year” in 2009, by Wiley College. She was a longtime and faithful member of Summit United Methodist Church where she was a part of the Winsome Sunday School Class. Gerry was also a member of Nite’s Circle where she served in several positions.
Mrs. Eldridge was preceded in death by her parents; her grandparents, Roland and Irene Newton; and brother, Harold Faucett, Jr. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, James Felton Eldridge; son, David Denney and wife Karen; daughter, Geri-Beth Kezerle and husband George; four grandchildren, Kimberly Turci, Taylor Denney, Jordan Denney and Georgie Kezerle; two great-grandchildren, John Michael Craft, and Laura Turci; two brothers, Sam Faucett and James Faucett, and a host of friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The American Cancer Society at 1301 S Broadway Ave. Tyler, TX 75701, Summit United Methodist Church at 1901 E. End Blvd. N. Marshall, TX 75670, or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
