Emory Elmer Morris, 88 of Marshall passed away September 7, 2021 in Marshall. He was born January 14, 1933 in Marshall to Claude and Cora Mae Morris. He married Bernice Brigman October 24, 1950 in Hot Springs, Arkansas. She preceded him in death March 1, 1998. He loved gardening, fishing, and shelling peas on the front porch and visiting with friends and family members.
He is survived by his son, John Morris, Sr. and wife Kathy of Marshall; daughter, Karron Cedillo of Marshall; grandchildren, John Morris, Jr. and wife Gisele, Kerry Cedillo, Lacey Mohler, Sherry Acevedo and husband Jered, Samantha Hays and husband Heath, Shawn Morris; great grandchildren, Lane Morris, Blaine Hays, Madison Hays, Blake Hays, Kaylee Mohler, Robbie Mohler, Finn Mohler, Xander Acevedo, Zara Acevedo; brother, James Morris; sister, Dean; as well a number of nieces, nephews and extended family members and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Bernice, sons, Randal Morris and Gregg Morris and his wife Kelly; sisters, Mary and Elsie; brother, Bennie; great great granddaughter, Malia Ann Morris.
A time of visitation with his family will be held on Sunday, September 19, 2021 at the Little Chapel by the Lake at Colonial Gardens Cemetery from 1 to 3 p.m. with a Celebration of his life to start at 3. Interment will follow at Colonial Gardens Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home.
