Dixie Delories Beattie

April 18, 1943 ~ June 17, 2021 (age 78)

Mrs. Dixie Delories Beattie, age 78, of Harleton, TX was born April 18, 1943 in La Mesa, TX to Mr. Aaron Edward Redwine and Mrs. Jerry Ward Redwine. She passed from this life into the presense of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on June 17, 2021 in Marshall, TX.

Mrs. Dixie was raised in Odessa, TX. She married the love of her life, Mr. Carl Beattie, July 4, 1965, and the two enjoyed 55 wonderful years together. Mrs. Beattie was a kind and benevolent person, passionate about her beliefs. She was always ready and willing to share anything that she had with anyone in need. She had a knack for arts and crafts; especially crochet, needle point, and decorating. Christmas was most special with all of her beautiful decorations and her amazing cooking. She loved her family so much. Her grandchildren held a special place in her heart, and she spoiled them all. Mrs. Beattie was a long time member of Harleton Baptist Church where she served as nursery director for almost 40 years. Her love for children was evident in her service where she was able to care for generations of families. Mrs. Beattie was a Mom and Grandmother to so many of the children who came through her nursery doors. She loved giving to the Samaritan's Purse Christmas Shoeboxes and would be proud to see that tradition continue.

Mrs. Dixie Beattie was preceded in death by her parents. Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband; her children, Michael Lance Beattie and wife Heike, Mark Warren Beattie, and Karen Susan Barnes and husband Tim; her grandchildren, Bryan Baker and wife Chrissie, Philip Beattie, Emily Beattie, Kory Beattie and wife Kendall, Tanner Beattie, Brant Beattie, Christian Barnes, and Hannah Crooks and Husband Ian; her great grandchildren, Ember Beattie, and Bryan Baker, Jr., her brother, David Redwine and wife Libby, and numerous relatives, loved ones, and friends. Dixie Delories Beattie is dearly loved and will be deeply missed.
