Dan lived his whole life in Marshall. He was a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church of Marshall. Dan was an accomplished pianist and composer, and taught piano lessons for many years. He considered himself a horticulturist who thoroughly enjoyed tending to his yard. He loved his cats and would feed and care for many of the strays in the neighborhood. Most of all Dan was a friend to many people, and will be missed by all that had the privilege of knowing him.
Dan was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Frank Green Jr., and wife Frances; his sister, June Baker and husband Buster; and two nieces, Susan Alexander and Sally Green. He is survived by his nephew-in-law, Gary Alexander; two great nephews, Matthew and Michael Alexander; several cousins, Jerry Jean, Gay Nell, Henry, Evelyn, Carol Sue and Benita; and his very good friend and caregiver, Martha Brown.
Mr. Green’s family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. James Logan, the staff at Heartsway Hospice, and to all of his wonderful caregivers.
