Mr Ray Lollar

February 3, 1951 ~ July 12, 2021 (age 70)


Funeral Services for Mr. Ray Lollar will be held on Saturday, July 17, 2021 at 4:00 p.m. at The Colonial Chapel of Sullivan Funeral Home in Marshall, TX. Reverend Charlotte Riddle will be officiating. Interment will follow at Cornerstone Cemetery in Harleton, TX. A time of visitation will be held on Saturday, July 17, 2021 from 3:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Sullivan Funeral Home.

Bernard Ray Lollar was born February 3, 1951 in Nettleton, MO to Mr. Clarence Lollar and Mrs. Cleo Whitaker Lollar. He passed from this life into the presence of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ July 12, 2021 in Tyler, TX.

Ray Lollar was raised in Cameron, MO and after graduating, he joined the US Navy. He proudly served his country for years before retiring from the military. He would go on to receive certification in small engine mechanics and enjoyed working on equipment and lawnmowers. Ray was a quiet man who spent his free time outside, he loved being outside. In his later years he spent time watching westerns, military movies, and crime shows. Sundays after church, Mr. Lollar was always up for a long drive. Christmas was always fun in the Lollar Home and you never knew who was going to get the present that he had wrapped a hundred times! Above all, Ray loved his family; his wife, his children, and especially his grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Ray Lollar was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Cora Armentrout; and his brother, Francis Evers Lollar. Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife of 44 years, Glenda Lollar; his children, Bobby Smith, Janet Hobbs and husband Billy; his grandchildren, Ruth Denny and husband Rusty, Ashley Armentrout, Brittany Hobbs, Brandy Amix and husband Kendall, William Hobbs, Tammy Smith, Kendall Moore, and Brian Kot, 17 Great Grandchildren; his sister, Mary Genne Tomlin, and numerous relatives, and beloved friends. Bernard Ray Lollar is dearly loved and will be deeply missed.
